Far from being a fashion statement, being “fashionably late” has much more downfalls than payoffs. So, it has been my goal to search for hacks and approaches to be up for the clock. The way to avoid from being late is being prepared and organized. Besides resting early and setting the alarm, here are a couple of hacks to get you off the bed, on your feet, and out the door on time!

A great way to start your day off on the right track is to have a cup of water before you reach for that coffee or tea routine. It is said to have the ability to provide a host of many benefits. One of these benefits is that water works as brain fuel. A morning glass of water will leave you feeling sharp and clear throughout the day; this will come in handy when you’re making decisions on what to wear or eat in the morning.

A significant help is to have a system before heading out the door. Setting up the previous night will somewhat ease the morning. An outfit picked the night before and hung up on your door is a practical approach to speeding up your morning routine. Everything else needed to finish your look for the day, like to your cosmetics and accessories can be lined along your dresser. That way, you won’t need to search for your items in the morning. Additionally, prepping your bag the night before will spare you some time in the morning.

For a full-proof makeup that needs a little time allowance, your necessities will be a little concealer, lip and cheek tint, mascara and powder. The lip and cheek tint saves time and puts color back to your face, while the mascara livens up your eyes. And if the rush has called in a worst-case-scenario incident, dry shampoo is your savior.

A nice way to help you reassure you’ve covered everything is arranging a cute sign or reminder by the front door. It could get as creative as a cute and small chalkboard with a stencil of a checklist or simply sticky note lists of the things you usual bring out. Also a key hook or tray for your keys saves minutes off a possibility of searching for it everywhere. Make sure to have them by the front door, so it’s the last thing you see before heading out.

Being late isn’t a fashion statement that empowered women must accept. A prompt student or employee not only parallels a more productive day, but also a more disciplined mindset. It’s not just about respecting the time of others, but also about being responsible. So try these hacks out for your next day at school or the office!
